Do I need to make an appointment?

No, we accept walk-ins. We do recommend quickly booking online to pre-fill your information & speed up your check in. An appointment is encouraged so that we can reserve a time slot for you, that being said you may opt to do a walk in however we cannot guarantee that they will see you immediately.

What's the difference between Antigen & RT-PCR Covid-19 diagnostic tests?

PCR tests detect genetic material, specially RNA, to confirm a Covid infection while Antigen tests detect viral proteins to confirm a Covid infection. 1. RT-PCR tests are the "gold standard" of Covid testing, accepted for travel & the most reliable. 2. Antigen tests carry a small risk of yielding a false negative if the virus hasn't had enough time to incubate. Alliance Health offers both RT-PCR & Antigen Covid-19 tests in all our locations. In South Florida, we offer a Rapid Antigen test & 2 PCR test options. You can pick from our Expedited RT-PCR Test and Same-Day RT-PCR Test, depending on how quickly you want your results. In Central Florida & New York, we offer a Rapid Antigen test & a Same-day RT-PCR Test. In addition the RT-PCR is approved for international travel while the antigen is only accepted by certain countries.

What is a diagnostic Covid-19 test?

Diagnostic tests like RT-PCR & Antigen tests can confirm it you're currently infected with Covid-19. They're different from Antibody tests, which can confirm if you were infected with Covid-19 at some point in the past. We o.f.fer both diagnostic & Antibody tests in all Alliance clinics.

An antibody test can confirm if you've been infected with Covid-19 in the past. We offer Rapid Antibody tests in all Alliance Health locations.

How long does it take for results to come in?

Do You offer a QR code?

Only the New York lab offers QR codes and Florida Antigen test.

Are your tests acknowledged by the state of Hawaii?

No, Hawaii as a list of approved labs that they will accept test results from.

If it indicates positive in any way the result of the test is positive. The negative indication is just the control of the test.

How long is an antigen test valid for?

An antigen test is valid for 24 hours.

How long is a PCR test valid?

How will I receive my results?

Once your results are ready you will be notified via email and text to login into your health portal via the HIIPA app.

Does the vaccine give you a positive antibody result?

Yes, the vaccine will provide your immune system with antibodies for Covid-19.

How soon after testing positive should I test?

Ii is recommended to test again after the 14 day mark.

How soon after potential exposure should it test?

An antigen is best used when experiencing covid symptoms A PCR test can give you results 1-3 days prior to developing symptoms.

Who qualifies under the CARES act (New York locations)

If you are a citizen of the United States you qualify for the CARES act to cover the cost of the 24 to 48 hour RT-PCR test. To do so you must provide us with a state issued ID such as a driver's license, and you must sign a waver.

Do you provide the test by oral swab?

Yes, we can do the test via the oral swab method only for the PCR. This method however is not recommended due to the increased chance of receiving an inconclusive result.
